Firstly, congratulations on your news! Expecting or having just had a baby, your world has just changed in so many wonderful ways. The joy and love that you are or are about to experience is amazing.
I'm Gill, a professional newborn photographer based in Surbiton in Surrey. I offer families a studio experience in the comfort of their own homes - so much easier in those early days than actually leaving your home with a new baby! I bring all the props, backgrounds and wraps to you.
I’ve been photographing newborns in Surrey and South West London for the last 8 years. In this time, I've heard so many birth stories as well of stories of loss.
They are tiny for a short period of time so let's photograph them to remember how tiny they were - and how young your are! I'm very used to photographing newborn twins as well as winning over nervous older siblings.
Incorporating pets has also become a bit of a specialty! I LOVE posing well loved pets with their new sister or brothers - another plus for having newborn photography session at home! I also love doggies! (and cats, hedgehogs....)
WHEN SHOULD YOU HAVE YOUR NEWBORN SESSION?
Newborn babies are tiny and will stay this size for a short time. Scheduling your newborn photography sessions within the first 21 days after your baby’s birth, whilst your baby is still sleepy and flexible.
I recommend that you book your photo shoot as soon as you can after your 20 weeks scan. This can be one less thing to organise when your little person finally arrives. I can put your due date in the diary and wait to hear from you.
